The PCCTC and Movember: Supporting Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness.

November 12, 2015 | Press Releases

Over 500 investigators, and research staff from PCCTC clinical research sites have come together to support the Movember Foundation, a global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has empowered millions of men and women to join the global men’s health movement. Through the moustaches grown, the connections created, and the conversations generated, Movember has raised  $650 million and helped fund 1,000 breakthrough men’s health programs in 21 countries, including projects led by PCCTC investigators.

Funds raised go towards supporting innovative world-class men’s health programs supporting our four key areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Aligned with Movember’s cause is the PCCTC’s mission to design, implement and complete hypothesis-driven early phase trials in prostate cancer, translating scientific discoveries to improved standards of care.
